Former White House CIO to Speak at Iowa Technology Summit

Former White House Chief Information Officer Theresa Payne will give the Iowa Technology Summit keynote presentation, a press release from the Technology Association of Iowa said.

Payne served as the first woman White House CIO from 2006-2008, where she oversaw IT operations for President George W. Bush and his staff.

Payton was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential People in Security by Security Magazine and is the star of CBS’ TV series, “Hunted,” where she identifies trends in the cyber security and how to combat threats.

Payton is currently the President and CEO of Fortalice Solutions, a risk, fraud and security company that helps businesses and government organizations protect themselves from security threats. She is also the co-founder of Dark Cubed, a technology startup that helps enterprises understand and manage cyber security threats.

The Iowa Technology Summit’s opening party will be held on Sept. 25 at The Republic on Grand and the summit will be held at the Iowa Events Center on Sept. 26. Find more information and register here.
