Jim Register – President & CEO
Jim joined IICorp in October 2018 to lead the organization, including its transition to becoming the Iowa bioscience development center. Jim comes to this role with over 25 years of experience in the agribusiness sector, most recently with DuPont Pioneer, now Corteva Agriscience, in a variety of leadership roles.
He earned a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Biology from Texas Christian University.
Steve joined IICorp in December 2019 to provide commercial leadership for the biobased products platform. Steve comes to this role with over 20 years of combined experience in areas including intellectual property, licensing, agribusiness, strategy consulting and startups.
Steve has held legal and business roles with entities such as Weil, Gotshal & Manges, McKee Voorhees & Sease, DuPont Pioneer (now Corteva Agriscience) and The Context Network. Most recently Steve served as CEO and co-founder of Inflexion Point Technologies, an Iowa based prescription, on-planter seed treatment startup.
He earned a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University School of Law (Bloomington) and a B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Northern Iowa.
Anne Price – SBIR/STTR Statewide Program Coordinator
Anne Price joined IICorp in November 2017 as Program Coordinator. She previously was a nanny for a private family and facilitated Venture School with the University of Iowa.
At IICorp Anne serves as the statewide (SBIR/STTR) Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Tech Transfer program coordinator. As a state coordinator, Anne works to advance SBIR/STTR activities in Iowa to help increase the number of federal grants to companies in the state. She works closely with businesses, research and educational institutions, federal program managers, and statewide service providers to accelerate projects with significant commercial potential. Anne is interested in cultivating community and business relationships in addition to connecting resources.
Anne earned a B.A. in Communication Studies, Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management, and Museum Studies Certificate from the University of Iowa.
Safiya Lee-Evans – Administrative Assistant
Safiya joined the team in February 2019 to oversee the daily operational needs of the IICorp office and project administration.
Safiya came to IICorp with an extensive background of 15+ years in marketing and administration in both the public and private sectors in positions such as Marketing Coordinator, Operations Manager and Executive Assistant.
