NewBoCo, Code.org Partnership to Train Iowa Teachers to Teach Computer Science

Thirty-two Iowa teachers will learn to teach computer science thanks to a new partnership between NewBoCo and Code.org, a press release from NewBoCo said.

According to the press release, teachers from both rural and urban areas will learn to teach code at middle and high school levels, which will open more computer science opportunities for students in the future.

The program starts June 18 with a five-day conference in Houston, followed by online self-paced resources, four weekend workshops during the academic year, and in-state community building.
